This document describes how the Bienal Curitiba app, developed by OutvisionXR, collects, uses, and protects users' personal data, in compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018).

1. Who we are

The controller responsible for processing your personal data is OutvisionXR, developer of the Bienal Curitiba app.

2. What data we collect

The Bienal Curitiba app requests access to the following device permissions:

Camera

Required to display augmented reality experiences in real time. No images or videos are recorded or stored without your authorization.

Location

Used to display augmented reality content relevant to your geographic position. Collected only while the app is in use.

3. How we use your data

Camera: used exclusively to overlay artworks and digital artistic content onto the real world through augmented reality (AR) technology. The app does not store, transmit, or analyze images captured by the camera.

Location: used to identify the user's position during active use of the app and to display AR experiences linked to specific points of the Bienal de Curitiba. Collection stops when the app is closed.

Your data is not used for advertising, behavioral analysis, or sale to third parties.

4. Technical data and system logs

As with most apps, our infrastructure and hosting services may automatically collect technical data during app usage, including:

  • Device IP address
  • Operating system and app version
  • Error reports and system logs
  • Date and time of access

This data is automatically collected by the third-party infrastructure services we use (such as hosting and monitoring providers) and is used solely to ensure the stable and secure operation of the app. It is not associated with your personal identity.

5. Legal basis (LGPD, Art. 7)

The processing of your data is carried out based on the following legal grounds provided for in the LGPD:

  • Consent: you expressly authorize access to the camera and location at the time of installation or first use of the app. You may revoke this consent at any time in your device settings.
  • Legitimate interest: access to the camera and location is technically essential for the main features of the app to work correctly.

6. Sharing with third parties

The Bienal Curitiba app may use SDKs and third-party services required for the operation of augmented reality technology and infrastructure:

  • Google ARCore / Apple ARKit: augmented reality platforms provided by Google and Apple. Please refer to each company's privacy policy for more details.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: may process technical data such as system logs as described in section 4. If additional services are added, this policy will be updated.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

7. Location-based notifications

Should the app make use of location-based push notifications, users will be notified in advance and may disable them at any time in their device settings, without affecting the main functionality of the app.

8. Retention and storage

Location data is used only in real time during app usage and is not stored on our servers.

Images captured by the camera are also not stored or transmitted, being processed locally on the user's device.

Should any change be made to this practice, this policy will be updated and you will be notified in advance.

9. Your rights as a data subject (LGPD, Art. 18)

In accordance with the LGPD, you have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your data
  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request the correction of incomplete or outdated data
  • Request the anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data
  • Revoke consent at any time, at no cost
  • Be informed about which entities your data is shared with
  • Request data portability
  • File a complaint with the ANPD (Brazilian National Data Protection Authority)

10. Security

We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, accidental loss, improper alteration, or destruction.

In the event of a security incident that may affect your data, you will be notified as required by the LGPD.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app itself or via our website. We recommend that you review this document regularly.

Continued use of the app after changes are published implies acceptance of the updated version of the policy.
